My sunglasses are a pair of Oakley Blades. They are the only pair of sunglasses I've ever owned, so I figured I'd buy a good pair. But I'm still too cheap to buy a nose piece for it. At least I was, for a couple of years. And now I can't find one -- lots of black ones around, but no brown...
Anyway, one night I was working late, and, as I always do, I took my vision glasses off and put them in their case, to take them home, and picked up my sunnies and donned them -- since that is always the easiest way to carry them. I didn't think much about it at the time.
I got out into the car, and started driving home. I was pretty tired, and it was late. So late that they had locked the gates up, so I had to drive out the long way.
There I am, driving along Blackburn Road, pretty much in a tired daze when I noticed the 'green' lights. Only they weren't green. They were more of a sickly yellow. And amber wasn't really yellow either, it was more of a pale green. This puzzled me for several hundred meters, until finally I realized: I was still wearing my sunglasses.
"It's dark, and I'm wearing sunglasses!" I shouted, laughing to myself (maybe this is only funny to Blues Brothers' fans. Or maybe just me :p)
FWIW, I was too tired (and perhaps too bemused) to take them off until I got home and crashed in bed.
