Money as an influencing force

Money is a powerful influencer. So, how would you use money to influence, if money was no object? Things like rewarding people for not having wars, repairing broken marriages and other societal positives? Here I'm going to put a list of such things, as I think of them...

• Give a US$500 award to anyone who says "*A*stralia" on US public TV, instead of "*O*stralia"
• Reward the person who finally kills off the imperial system of measurement
• Reward the person who gets us all driving on the same side of the road
• Reward the person who brings in "free left" to Australia (all states - I think some already have it?) (cf. free right in the US) [ at least until we change sides of the road ;-) ]
